September is the month of grapes… which in Italy often means wine. One of the most famous Italian wines is the well known Brunello di Montalcino which is also quite expensive (I think it is something about 40 euros a bottle). I usually prefer some less expensive but still really good wines like Bonarda (from Piemonte) and Gutturnio (from Colli Piacentini in the Emilia-Romagna region).
